+===== Department Code =====
+The Department code is a part of the the company page and it is used to specify where in a business the contact works, e.g. sales, it is located under the contact info section of the company info section.

+The department code can be selected either direct from the dropdown, or by typing it into the empty field and if that department has been added to the system it will appear as an option to select.
+If you wish to see all the codes on the system, navigate to the codes option within the settings and select the "department" option. this will show you every department code that there is currently on the system.

+You can edit the info for any existing code by clicking the "pencil" icon to the right of any code, you will then be able to edit the code and description fields to make any necessary changes. to save these changes, click the "tick" icon to the right of the code you are currently editing and this will save any changes made.
+To add a new department code, in the department codes settings click the "add new department" button at the top the screen. A new blank row will be added, here you need to fill out the "code" and "description" fields. The Code Field will need to be filled in with an abbreviation of the code's full name, or number if you choose, and the Description filed will be where you name the Department in full.

+to then save the code, all you need to do is click the "tick" icon to the right of the new code, this will save it to the system and you will then be able to select it anywhere that the department code appears.
