Settings
Settings within Call2Field are stored under two Settings menus, which can both be accessed by clicking the Username on the top-right of the screen. This will then list both the Account Settings and System Settings options.
Account Settings
Account Settings Account Settings is broken down into multiple sub-sections, detailed below:
- General Settings contains the option to enable/view the Signatures on the Field Report screen. You can also choose whether you wish to filter the Call Types available on Call Add to only show those available under that Contract.
- SMS Settings allows you to enable the SMS feature to text jobs to Engineers. Once this has been enabled you can enter the details of your SMS provider as long as they are one which Call2Field can link with.
- Postcode Lookup, similar to the SMS setting allows you to enable the Postcode Finder in Call2Field, providing your supplier is one which Call2Field links with.
- SMTP Setup allows you to enter your SMTP details for using emails with Call2Field.
- Security allows you to change your current password.
System Settings
System Settings affect all users:
- General Settings allows you to set up the Call Reference Flag and Custom Code
- View Licence lets you view the Licence for Call2Field, the users you have assigned on the system as well as the Modules you have access to
- Logged In Users Displays every user that is logged into the system, it also shows you their IP address and when their session expires
- Call Note Logging allows you to choose which actions are auto-saved as Call Notes.
- Mobile Settings affect the Mobile version of the software, allowing you to make changes such as hiding prices etc.
- Accounting Settings allows you to select your Accounts software and configure it for use with Call2Field (e.g. Xero, Sage etc).
- System Email is where you'll input your SMTP info in order to send Emails directly from Call2Field
- Portal Users shows you all the users that have been set up for the Customer Portal
- Portal Email works the same as the System Email does, the main difference being that you'll need to input a recipient email as well.
- Sales Settings

- Customise Mobile Allows you to modify the appearance the Mobile version, essentially personalising it to your Business
- Customise Portal lets you edit the appearance of the customer portal Such as the company name or Home page Message
Codes
The Codes area of the settings allows you modify the codes that are used to fill in fields within Call2Field, these fields include the “Call types”, “Problem Codes” and “Product Codes”.
- The Area Code setting lets you Modify the area codes that are assigned to customers, you can also add new area codes here if you wish
- The Currency Code setting allows you to modify the curries that you have on the system, if a customer pays in a different currency you can add that currency type here
- The Contract Type codes is where you add/ modify contracts that appear on a customers Contracts tab
- The Cover Code Setting

- Equipment Status
- Product Group
- Product Code
- Call Type
- Custom Code
- Fault Code
- Repair Code
- Problem Code
- Activity Type Code
- Order Type Code
- Adjustment Code
- PO Status
- Quote Type
- Quote Status
- Employee Code is where you can add and modify employees to the system, an employee record is needed when creating a User record so be sure that you have created one when adding a anew user
- Users Code is where you can manage the Users that log into Call2field, double clicking on a user will open up the info for that user, you can then make any necessary changes there
- User Profile is where you can specify what modules users have access to, these user profiles are then assigned to a user
