Employee

The Employee code is a record of a member of staff within Call2Field. Not all Employees need to exist as Users, but every User does need a valid Employee record.


Add Employee

To create a new Employee, go to the Employee Code section and click Add from the list.

Set the Employee Type accordingly. The Type doesn't make a difference in terms of permissions, but it defines where an Employee will appear within Call2Field:

Employee TypePurpose
AdminThe default type. This is an Employee who exists in the system for an office user, but doesn't appear in any dropdowns as such
Field EngineerYou can assign Field Engineers to Calls and manage them within the Diary view
SalespersonA Salesperson can be assigned to a Customer or Site, as well as used in the Sales Module

Fill in the mandatory details, and any other fields you wish to populate and click Update to save.


Appearances

  • Employees are a mandatory field on the User Code.
  • Employees set as Field Engineers appear in the Engineer dropdowns, and on Monitor & Diary
  • Employees set as Salesperson appear in the Salesperson dropdowns, and are used within the Sales Module
