Codes
Codes are a fundamental part of Call2Field. Almost all of these are configurable which allows them to suit your specific needs. You can create your own Call Types, Fault Codes, Products, and many more. Codes are firstly used to set up easy to use dropdowns & pre-populated fields, which can then in turn provide you with comprehensive filtering and Reporting criteria.
The Codes List can be opened by clicking your name on the top-right of the screen, and clicking the Codes option.
Adding a Code
To create a code, first open the Code List, and then click on the Code you wish to add, for example 'Area' or 'Problem'. From here, click the Add New button at the top of the list.
Depending on the Code, you'll either have a new blank line within the list to populate, or for more complex codes you'll get a pop-out window. Enter the details of your new Code, and click the Save icon (this may be labelled as 'Update' if you're on a pop-out window).
Modifying a Code
To modify a Code, open the Code List and click on the relevant Code. From here, click the Pencil icon to the right of the Code Name. You'll either be able to edit within the list, or for more complex Codes, you'll get a pop-out window.
On this window, there won't be any pink mandatory fields, as these would have already been filled in, and usually at least one field will be uneditable, usually the Code itself as this is the unique key value.
Click Update to save your changes, or Cancel to close the window and abandon changes.
